Little Pink Dress

When she was born, Teagan Rose received a beautiful, delicate, fine lawn, hand-embroidered, hand-sewn dress from her namesake, Great-Grandma Rose. It was made especially for TeaRose by one of Grandma Rose's friends. It's a lovely little dress, but it was too big for her, so we were hoping it would fit her this summer, but she had a growth spurt so I don't think that's going to happen. Instead, we turned up the heat, put her in the dress and took about 70 pictures of her.

I won't post all of them here...I won't even post my favorite top 30. But it's seriously going to tear my heart out to only choose a few. *sigh*

Oh, in case you're wondering, I used natural lighting (no flash) for the majority of the pictures w/Teag in them, as it made the pictures more "dreamy" somehow. Oh: and aside from setting up an area in which to take the pictures, and plunking her down in it, not a single one of these is "posed." The kid is a natural! ;-)

First, though, just the dress:

The dress also had this lovely little embroidered slip that came with it!

And now: the lovely model!

*sigh* Wasn't that lovely??

If I could be assured that every child would be as cooperative as Teag was, I'd totally go into the child photography buisness! Haha!

Multi-Generations

Here are some more pictures from this weekend of Teagan and her grandparents and great-grandparents. Our little TeaRose is feeling better today and, in addition to getting caught up on some sleep (taking turns on various laps), she was full of smiles for everyone.

This is a very important weekend in Teagan's life: she finally got to meet her Grampa Jim and her Great-Grandparents Ed & Rose. And since she is Great-Grandma's namesake (her middle name is Rose) this was very special, indeed!

With Grampa Jim ~so exciting!

Meeting Great-Grandpa Ed~such a little lady!

With Great-Grandma Rose~what a special time!

Poor lil TeaRose is still sick so she was a little fussy (none of us know what to do when she's fussy, since she generally isn't) but she still loved being with everyone! Such a good lil girl!

She is feeling a bit better today & is ready for another day of being passed around from grandparent to grandparent while her Auntie M insanely snaps a jillion photos of each & every moment!

Isn't TeaRose's Gramma Cindy a hot mama?!
